Since this is the pic thread i figured this would be a good place to get some advice on a lense. Im pretty sure im gonna get a D60 and i was wondering what would be a good 1st lense to invest in?

 

Well, I guess it all depends on what you're going to be shooting and how much you are willing to spend. I know, it's a vague answer but it would be easier if you can narrow it down a bit.

You can get a "cheap" lens with a broad focal-length that will keep you from switching lenses but you'll usually sacrifice quality. A Nikon AF-S DX VR 18-200mm f3.5-5.6G IF-ED is a good all around lens that will run you about $600-800. http://reviews.cnet.com/lenses/nikon...-31894591.html I don't have a Nikon so I don't know how that one ranks.

^ +1 on the 18-200VR (as an all-around). it's what i recommended to Nam too. I don't know as much about Nikons but that lens is all i hear about.
