I had a feeling some sort of violence was going to breakout, but was hopping it wouldn't come to that

If I was that cop, I would probably be jumpy and be quick to pull out my gun too. You can't f' around in Oakland.

Oakland folks are pretty much guaranteed to break out into a riot for any reason... I don't think they even need to know the reason...

Heard before he was arrested, that he and his family received many death threats where they lived in Napa. Makes sense why he left the area for safety reasons.

Read in paper few days ago possible racial slurs made from officers during that time. Oh oh...

This case will be interesting....

Santa Rita...word!!

Uh, you do know that they don't put cops in general population right? They keep them totally separate.

And if he gets convicted of murder or gross negligent manslaughter, which are felonies, he won't be going to Santa Rita. That's a jail, not a prison. It's the Alameda County jail. Misdemeanors and time served less than 1 year. If he gets convicted of manslaughter without gross negligence, that is a misdemeanor. Then they may put him in Santa Rita.

Very sad. Just a ruthless and senless killing of another human being. My heart goes out to his family. I can't wait to see the outcome of the lawsuit, but I have a feeling the cop is going to get away with it like many of them have.
