Yeah I was torn between a GTR badge and twin turbo setup since they net the same gains.

BTW, when I said this, I was referring to a reflash like the Osiris where you can can have more than one map... You'll get to smooth out the fuel curve on the normal map, also helping MPG, giving you better acceleration, and on top of all that, you get to add more maps for performance like a 100 octane map. Never run 91 on a 100 map unless you want to buy a new motor, but you won't see much gains with 100 on a 91 map...

No. With the Osiris, you can switch back and forth. You'd have an option of running 100 octane on a tuned map if that's what he asked for when he gets his car tuned. I'm almost thinking the reflash might not be a good idea for him just yet, but there are other benefits of a reflash like valet mode where you can set the rev limiter at 3k RPMs, max speed at 35MPH, etc... but the 100 tune is more practical for guys who do drive their cars on the streets on 91, but like running 100 on the tracks.

Also, another bad thing about getting tuned so soon is that if you do any other power adding mods to the car like intake, exhaust, etc... you need a retune which costs money. Just say you get that done and you change your exhaust out again... you'll need another retune.

Yea, I think keeping the motor and all stock would be better for him... just get the higher (more aggressive) final drive gearing for acceleration... best mod for the job!

o ok any recommended brands for the gearing?
he was also thinking of just changing the intake filter or air box but wouldnt it be a whole lot better to just get a whole intake system?
