Eh... ok! It doesn't quite work like that, but if that's what you like to believe.. then it's fine with me...

No, it will not work. The MREV is essentially the very same lower collector as the OEM non revup lower collector, bar some minor changes.

Edit: With regard to Motordyne products, your best bang for the buck is a plenum spacer.

Go with a 5/16's Iso Thermal. Personally, I did not install the coolant control valve supplied with the Iso Thermal.

Would removing that large metal piece in the middle of the exhaust with a straight pipe increase power at all? (Sorry, I don't know what that piece in the exhaust is actually called. I believe it is behind the cat tho.)

*edit*

Sorry Andy, but it will work and give any VQ motor gains. It just won't make as much gains as on a revup, making it less of a bargain of a mod.

Most people stick with 5/16, but I'm not sure which makes more power on a non revup... In CA, you can go with either throttle body coolant bypass, but the copper iso is automatic for extreme cold temps.

6MT Coupe
Most with non revup just do spacer (5/16th).
Agree MREV2 on non revup = not real good gains/$ ratio. There's some, but not a clue how much either.
I believe Motordyne gives $100 bones off MREV2 price when you send in your oem non revup collector as a core exchange.
Us revup peeps don't get that b/c Motordyne doesn't want ours.
