Dang, I'll let you know, as soon as I make a final decision. I haven't decided upon whether to opt for the 15" or the 17", yet. I love my wife's 17" G4 PowerBook. The Pros are even better yet.

I have two of the newer 15" unibody ones deployed at my workplace for one of my VP's and account exec's. Those laptops are freakin sweet. Nice of you to offer up a free speck case.

Thanks, Dang. I opted for the 17" MBP.

I didn't know about the Speck cases. They look real good. I just ordered one for my new rig.

You don't want the apple store demo computers, they're run hard all day long plus they only sell them internally to employees. You can get refurbished models online and they carry the same waranty as a new model.

Or you can get a discontinued model online for a good price usually, i'd check amazon. The upper level 15" macbook was just slightly upped in processor speed, so the previous is up for grabs a bit cheaper at retailors online. Worst case, bring in a friend that's a teacher or student and get 200 off any macbook pro and 110 off apple care. Just got a base aluminum macbook, runs great even with only a 2.0ghz processor. Just as fast as my 2.4ghz iMac.

Hi Matt,

Loving it so far. I was quite surprised at the ease that the Mac OS X read all of my windows word docs and CAD pdf files from my office flash drive. This is great!

The new and improved touch pad is a definite plus. I have it set up by touch. I am really enjoying this new platform.

Cool, Andy. Its definitely a great platform. Much less hassle than windows for sure. Make sure you use time machine since one of my friend recently had a drive failure.... Enjoy the MBPro

I am happy that you <3 your new MBP 17". I never thought I would be a Mac guy since my first Intel 486dx2 running Windows 3.11. The speck case is awesome. I have a black see thru stain case for my 15" MBP. I got an extra one I was gonna give you :P

^^ Cool. Would the speck case fit 15" non-unibody MB Pro? What color do you have now?

Yes!!!!! I took a quick break from my studies and decided to look for some stuff on ebay.

I got an extended AppleCare Protection Plan for my new 17" MBP for $159.00 plus a $20.00 cash back from Live.com. The regular Apple in store price is $349.00.

I'm going to try the same method when I get my next iPhone, as well.
