I'm heading up to SF next week....what are some things to do anyone can recommend?
For pizza, I prefer Seniore's.
If your artsy type, Check out SF Museum of Modern art, right next to Sony Metreon.
Haight/Ashbury is always fun for street wear and other counter-culture stuff.
Sausalito is a nice little sea town north of SF, good place to chill-lax with a girl.
UC Berkeley area is fun too.
Korean food in Norcal sucks compared to Socal for sure so I won't recommend any. Lol. But if you do crave it, check out oakland telegraph ave. Lot of Korean places here and there.
If you like jazz, i'd definitely check out Yoshi's SF in Filmore Japan town. Really nice Japanese restaurant with their own Jazz club.

If you're looking for a bar, a few decent spots are Cy Bar, Bubble Lounge, and honestly, I don't know of too much else in the city anymore. A lot of people have been heading down to San Jo area for parties lately (the better promotions of the area have eventually migrated on over)...

Yea Zachary's rocks, I live about 5 mins from one. Some of the best pizza in the Bay Area.
I agree with Korean food, you gotta go to San Jose area for that stuff. There are a few decent places around Telegraph like Ohganne (sp).

Yea. Korean food sucks in Nor Cal vs So Cal. I honestly think that some Korean places in So Cal are even better than Korea.
We definitely don't want to go to Nor Cal for Korean food.
But maybe some Chinese food.

I been to Manna and another place I dont remember. I got recommended Chosun Galbee and Soot BulGui. What do you think?
IMO, no place has much better clam chowder than the places out there... except Stagnos Bros in Santa Cruz!
I'd say skip most of the Chinese and Korean foods and go with something more from SF... one place off the top of my head is Mi Lindo Peru (Peruvian) but don't know if that's what you guys might like or not. If you want Chinese, look up Koi Palace. Not my favorite spot, but rated the best of the area. There are a few places I go to eat at pretty religiously, but I have no idea what the places are called.
Oh, and if you do get a chance, head out to San Jose for Pho... I know a few decent spots in LA for Pho, but nothing beats the Pho in the South Bay. Pho Y #1 comes to mind... (I'm always there)

Manna is whatevers. They used to be good back in the days. There are SOOO many Korean Bbq places in the LA/So Cal area. It really depends on what type of meat you like. What I mean is...some places are known for their galbi, while others are known for pork/chicken etc. Just PM me the next time you're in the SoCal area.
Chosun Galbi is over priced IMO. So many other places that are better bang for the buck. I guess it depends on what you like. Expensive/trendy looking place, or a whole in the wall place. IMO, no place has much better clam chowder than the places out there... except Stagnos Bros in Santa Cruz!

We have "Little Saigon" here in OC. But I know that there is also a BIG presence of Vietnamese in the Nor Cal area.
I'll have to check out the Koi Palace, and a Pho spot.
Ok...so I just spoke with a friend who lives in SF. I'm having dinner with her on Wed night at some place called "Tekka". Has anyone been there? I guess they only seat about 10 people at a time.
I haven't been there myself, but I've heard great reviews.
LOL!!! Yes.

It kind of reminds me of this one place in LA. http://www.yelp.com/biz/urasawa-beverly-hills Except this place in LA costs $400 to $500 a person.

Yea Manna was alright, they only had one good dish. It was the thin beef slices. Rest was just decent, I don't remember anything else that stuck out at all.

That's one of my favorites too!
Yea Urasawa is a bit too expensive for me.
Depending on what time you get in, every 3rd Wed is free at the Academy of Sciences. I need to go back, since when I went was before it opened and they were still finishing up some stuff, but it is definitely something to check out.
As far as restaurants go...depending on what kind of food you want, SF is one of the best cities in the world for food, so there is tons of selection. If you dont check out Gary Danko, I would say check out Michael Mina. It is in the middle of Union Square. Breakfast, Pork Store in the Haight has some great food and I recently went to Foreign Cinema in the Mission. They had a good brunch.
Ice cream, go to Mitchels. You can take the J (I think) out there from downtown. If you like sushi, there is a great authentic sushi place somewhat near by called Tamasei sushi. I would only suggest going there if you like sashimi and nigiri, but if you do, Tues and Weds they get a fresh shipment of fish from Japan every week. Every week they get a different shipment in so their specials change all the time, but they are usually fish you wont find anywhere else.
