Your opinion: Beshoff Meet- what would you change?
The veggie idea went with the charity theme...the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. Not to state the obvious, but there was meant to be a connection: veggie > compassion to animals. We had this idea of tying in a fun Infiniti event and helping a good cause. But we did have chicken apple sausages for those who have an aversion to vegetarian.
Maybe it wasn't a good fit? Anyone else want to chime in?

Compassion for domesticated animals: Love them, pet them and treat them like family

Compassion for animals in the American food chain: Raise them, slaughter them, rub them with spices and eat them

Like RawFusion said, the prizes and the food were extra. This event was more of a community experience for me and I was happy and had a great time.
They already have a Lollee
Rudy (Rawfusion) pretty much summed it up for me....what he said
Maybe a seating area outside? There may have been one but I totally missed it. I'll be there for the next one when you all decide to do it again

Brian,
You folks pulled off a wonderful event. The logistics, which you folks must have had to deal with, had to be many. Evident by this event, your future events will be a great experience for all.
I would be pleased to come to any event, which you folks are hosting. No event is perfect. If you are able to have an event, which pleases everyone in general, you have done extremely well. Beshoff is leaps and bounds ahead of the others.
I applaud your effort in attempting to improve on this previous event. However, I have nothing to add. You did a marvelous job and I am sure that you will continue to do so, as such. You cannot please everyone, because most people will lose sight of why they are attending a particular event. Believe me, I know.

nothing against you say. i know people can go to a restaurant or Eastridge across a street but if your doing a show/meet and your a vendor you want to keep the people there at the venue thus making more money/profit. i dont know just my .02
Please don't give this too much thought, Brian. You will drive yourself crazy. You could have doubled the food, which was offered . . . And you would still missed something. Human nature dictates that.
haha...i am not saying Brian did a bad job...he did a great one at that by always walking around making everyone was good, directing traffic, gifts, awards and such. it was to meet Beshoff than this would be a Tour. I know plenty got to meet the staff and Brian before hand. i guess you can say the meat would contradict the HSSV but it simply a feedback. open to suggestions/feedback that why Brian started the thread to begin with. of course compliments are always appreciated. Sorry, that i speak my mind but it is what it is
i think this meet was pretty damn well planed out. alot less chaos than what im used too when we throw shows. hire me next time to do a bbq hahahaha j/k lol.
one thing i would change is i would open another drink stand and add like little bags of chips. and play more stevie b hahahhaha

Please don't interpret what I or others may have said here in a negative light towards you. Brian plainly asked a question and you honestly answered it.
Do I have some small suggestions? . . . Perhaps, I do. However, I personally think that those matters should be addressed in private. Based on my previous experiences, and this old fart has had many, once the suggestions are voiced . . . There is a potential for an event organizer to be held accountable to execute each and every one of those said suggestions.
The above is my past experience. With regard to previous NorCal events, I had heard so many unsolicited complaints that I have given up on the whole process. For myself, it was much too much work and some people lost sight of what was truly at hand and what my original intentions were.
My apologies to you and Brian for allowing my own personal feelings/thoughts to wander in and invade this thread. As you youngsters say it, I trust that "It's all good."
Any idea that there was profit is misguided. We invested a lot of money in the event and prizes. The only money raised was the money towards HSSV.

Knowing the amount of time and monies that you folks invested into this event, I would be hard pressed to offer any productive suggestions. You folks did it right the first time. Let there be no mistake about that.
pretty much what Andy said. Its the most organized event that Ive been to personally and it was a great atmosphere all around. Kudos to Brian and Beshoff staff for the great preparation and execution!
