Re: Nor Cal Dyno Day...Details Finalized..PLS READ

At pump it is 4.50, should be no more than 6.00

As far as exhausting all your fuel, bleive me, it is not a problem. I'll leave SF with 1/4 tank and it is up to me whether I get to Livermore with 3 or 1 gallon left in it We all know how thirsty those cars are under WOT. I'm at 1/4 tank now and have 157 miles since full. All city driving

I filled up with 100 before and butt dyno was noticing something, i just want to confirm it. Maybe didn't gain any horsepower, but engine pulled very smooth.

So there will be no problem filling up with 100 octane at Modacar?

It might be a problem. My Camaro buddy called them and they said they are going to have 6 gallons of 100 octane for him.I'm not sure if they will have more. Do you think we should call them and arrange for another 6 gallons?

Good luck and have fun on the Dyno Day guys. We'll be watching in anticipation to see how all the cars will dyno w. their respective mods.

Don't forget to bring a floppy disk for the run files.

Yes, it would be far more elegant than the low vertical resolution print out you get. This way, you guys can also easily compare runs w. each other using the freeware viewer software from DynoJet. I would also be very interested in a few peoples' files as well ... for my database

Also remember the tail-pipe AF measurement point is on the average about 0.8 higher than normal.

Have fun guys!

Oh nice, so James (guy with SC'ed eclipse) is coming. Anxiously awaiting to see how much he is putting down to the front wheels. He has a RIPP Mods Stage 2 Super Charged System with Methanol Injection and with Hytech Race Headers. I am positive he is putting down at least 300 fwhp. This should be interesting! =)

AWESOME TIME.

I have videos for:

DrSifu1
skeleton_cru
gokart
chenga
accordfreak
James with eclipse

I can email them to you in compressed format. Basically same crappy sound from my camera and also crapy video, 300KB /file. Or if you give me where to upload I can get you same crappy sound but much better video quality. 2-3MB/file.

PM me.

Chenga,

Great numbers on 95 octane. I'm pretty sure your car as it is on 100 octane pure can hit 255whp mark.

That was a good event and glad we had a good turnout. Numbers were pretty damn consisent throughout the day. Even the individual cars had consistent numbers throughout it's 3 runs. Also it was pretty much confirmed again that the sedans are underrated from the factory. It was good meeting new faces and seeing some old ones. Thanks again goes out to Modacar for being very hospitable.

I second that. It was fun, and informative. Great meeting you all! Hopefully Vinh can e-mail us the dyno numbers spreadsheet for future reference in making mods. Next time, we should have various competative classes: Loudest exhaust, Stinkiest exhaust, Most frightening dyno-run, Fewest miles on car before mod'ing/dynoing, etc. The Modacar guys were just super - even providing an unexpected (but excellent) BBQ lunch! I've got a bunch of still pics. (digital) from the top of the ladder if anybody wants um...

Thanks for putting all of this together, guys. It was definitely a lot of fun, and we couldn't have gotten better weather; I was worried it'd push 100 as inland as we were.

Vinh, I saved the spreadsheet as a PDF (Mac OS X has the ability to save anything as PDF) and then stuck that into Photoshop and saved it as a jpg. I'm shrank the height and width a little (I took out the manufacturer column) because it was taking up more than a page and it was getting cropped.
