Hook-ups on car alarms?
Been unsuccessfully trying to find a deal on car alarms for a while now... Just wondering if anyone got th hook-ups to any. Specifically, I've been specifically looking at the Viper 5901, but honestly, I don't mind any of the previous Viper models. (just in need the mile-long range capability). I've also noticed that you can pick up a good alarm for pretty cheap ($150-200) online, but it's the install (if you want the warranty) that tacks on another $300 or so.
Anyways, just throwing that out there. I own a 6-speed, just in case.

i have the python 991 and it works great. we can give you a good deal if you purchase and install the alarm through mach iii.
also, python, viper and hornet are all made by one company. the only thing is different regions are limited to each brand.

mach iii carries the python991 which is what i have. it has the 1 mile radius and we can do the remote start on the 6mt.
pm me if you guys need a quote.
here's a pic of the python and viper below. they're identical despite the design of the key fob.

yeah we been doing alarms for over 15 years lol. our region is python as v said.
it does take alot of labor to hook up the remote start so thats why the install price is so high.
we do carry alot of basic alarms with out remote start that we can do for 159 installed.

the safety option is up to the installer, sum wont ground it down so they just say "dont start it in gear or it will take off" my installer did it the way its sopost to be done where if its in any gear it wont even start it will give an error on the pager, also if the car is on and key isnt in and someone were to put it in gear it cuts off (when they do it the fast way it will only cut when u press the break) just make sure who ever installs it dont half fast it to save them time and get them more money.
Was guna say if u have an auto and it has the smart key fob don't u just leave the spare in the car somwhere hidden? I thought that's how they do it..? Dunno cuz I would love remote start! Get my AC going. Lol
Yeah thats how it's usually done. Ernie at sound innovations does remote starts on cars with smart keys all the time.
Viper, Clifford, and Python are essentially the same things, as Veronica stated. The only difference is when you get into Clifford's G5 line.
The brands vary from store to store. Ex. Best Buy sells Viper, and Circuit City used to sell Python.
