Opinion Needed! 2006 6MT IP Coupe Pricing. (Sacramento)

Hey guys,

Real quick question. I'm about to pull the trigger on a G and I'm wondering what the NorCal community thinks about this deal:

Price: $22,500
Year: 2006 (Seller bought in Sept/2006)
Make: Infiniti
Model: G35 Coupe
Trans: 6MT
Miles: 30,500
Ext: Ivory Pearl
Int: Stone
Options: Aero Kit, Premium, Navi

Bads: Rock chips on the bumper, rash on 2/4 wheels, and garage door came down on the rear bumper near the plates. Here's a picture the guy sent me:

Interior:

Side Shot:

He hasn't done his 30k yet and has followed oil change schedule.

Any thoughts if this is a good deal? I'm asking for $21.5k....too crazy for this market?

I'm guessing the repairs on the bumpers alone will be mucho dinero. Re-spray right?

Looks like a good price assuming the car hasnt been in an accident.

IP, 6mt, stone interior, and navigation ftw

Looks like a pretty good price. I would start my negotiations at no more than 20k out the door. In this business, money talks.

I would stress, the flaws to the seller since it is relatively expensive to get those items fixed.

How's the condition of the interior?

Original asking price was $23.5k..lol. The man says "No sorry, no lower than $22.5k"

So you guys think $22.5k is a good price? Think I should go lower or that's just being greedy? I had my sights set on $21.5K. KBB Fair value is $22,595. Everything looks good except those rock chips (which are inevitable and that rear bumper). No accidents and he's first owner.

@Jairen Condition of the interior looks pretty darn good:

Those are the only two interior shots he gave me, other than the one I posted above =)

THANKS a million for your opinions guys. It really helps my decision process!

I kinda see the normal wear and tear on the driver seat..., but other than that, it looks pretty good.

I'd ask for $20.5 OTD.

$20.5k OTD would be super nice. This is private party deal so with taxes in CA, that would mean something around 19k. Lol!

6MT Coupe
For private party sales. He's in the ball park for it's condition.

Agree with others 20.5K tops and imo very fair offer in these tuff times and what you would spend to look nice again + 30K service. Play poker. Doubt he has a line of buyers at his door. Confirm with a CarFax report....

G/L

I'll try and make him sweat it out for now. There's a lien on the car so he's still making payments if he doesn't find a buyer. We'll see what he says. Thanks for all the help guys. Too bad I live in San Jose and he lives in Sacramento. All this negotiation is through the phone. I haven't even physically seen the car yet =P

yeah i agree, it's kinda high for the times, considering you're looking at almost $1500 to get the bumper and wheels fixed and 30k service. for perspective, i got my 05 ip 6mt with 38k miles, sport but no navi, new tires, with 30k service done for $20k last year before the recession really picked up steam.

ok guys found a new car and i need your opinions again:

2006 IP Coupe
34k miles
6MT
Navi
RAS (rear active steering)
Premium
No spoiler
Tein S-tech spring
Gialla grill
Clear corners
Front and rear camber kit
Clear bra on the grille, front bumper, hood and front fenders, a pillars, side mirrors, under door handles and trunk area

Asking price 22k. KBB says around 21k and KBB doesn't have the RAS option. I'm thinking around 20-21k. Opinions? Thanks guys!!
