What the HELL am i suypposed to do now

So i installed the rear springs today that i got from bobby and i move on to the front and as i try to unscrew the A arm bolts my wrench slips, so i thought the bolt finaly broke loose and get happy untill i try again.....
i stripped the head of the bolt and now i have no f%$#@& idea what to do, i just reinstalled everything and left it alone untill i can figure this out.
my dad had an idea that im not sure that i like, its to WELD a wrench onto the bolt and break it loose and then get a new bolt......im not quite fond of that idea so ill hold off on that for now, on the plus side my back looks awsome

you could not have stripped the bolt head with one slip to get it completely unusable.

Try an impact socket.

It's made stronger and make sure it got 6 points instead of 8 or 12
And use WD-40 or something before you take the bolt out.

Should be able to take it off in no time.

IIRC, you shouldn't have to remove that bolt. Check some DIY's, I know it's possible to remove/replace the strut/spring assembly without removing any part of the upper A-arm.

The way I saw it done last was to:

- remove the one/two lines attached to the strut (as I'm sure you've already done)
- remove the bottom strut bolt
- detach the sway bar
- loosen the top strut nuts (inside the engine bay, don't drop 'em)
- hold the strut up while you press the bottom A-arm down (use your foot and/or get some help)
- you should be able to push it down far enough to get the bottom of the strut clear of the lower A-arm
- then the strut just lowers out of the top
- reassemble in reverse order

When red35 did mine, we undid the outer A-arm bolt (top) and that made strut removal easy, but was a PITA to get that bolt and its rusted cotter pin out.

Does any of this make sense? I did a quick search and couldn't find a DIY that did it this way, but I've seen it done so I know it works.

^^ yeah six-point socket will definitely help, or an extractor if it comes to that.

don't do it. that socket should be used if nothing else works. You will completely destroy bolts head with that socket. Use the impact 6 point one first (or any other 6 point one)

And you actually don't even need to remove the A arm in the first place.
