Please don't ever take your G through one of those machine car washes. Take it to Beshoff for a good wash that will not ruin your ride.

Hand wash yourself or pay someone to hand wash it.

If you're in the area: Walnut Creek Car Wash right off the Treat Blvd exit on 680. There are no tracks that would damage your rims and they are very careful. I've taken my car there the 4+ years I've owned it when I'm feeling lazy.

One trick, don't go on a Saturday or Sunday. There's too many cars backed up and they have lot of "extra" workers. I like to go mid week when the regular guys are there. They make a point of going over all the details such as the inside of my rims, my exhaust, and removing any marks on my leather. On the weekend you'll just get the quickie "move em through" stuff like everywhere else. It's still a great wash, but not a 5 star one for your 22 bucks. If you're stuck on a Saturday, you can walk across the street to Starbucks, BevMo, or a restaurant and wait it out.

Edit: Do NOT take your car to Autopia on Main and California. (It's under the BART tracks) They have tracks and damaged a friends rims. It was HELL trying to get the owner to pay for the damage even though the guy had literally just taken beauty pictures, took cell phone pictures when it was damaged right there at the wash, and could prove they did it.

if you are in the santa clara area, there is a car wash that is 100% hand wash and with no machines, it is lowered friendly. I could not find them on google but this is closes address.

3145 El Camino Real
