It's awesome, it really is... if you haven't had a Cali Burrito, you're missing out on a hell of an experience. True, none of the places around here will make it like you'd find in San Diego, but it's close enough for a quick fix. I'm in heaven with any kind of Taqueria with carne, shrimp or prawns, french fries, cheeses, good guac (ok, any guac), and a good horchata!

 

what do they have here? breakfast place? dinner place?

 

What are you talking about? All the places in San Diego that I tried were awful - NorCal "cali" burritos were so much better, especially since the whole concept started in SF, not down south

 

I've never heard about it until I went down there... It's hard to find a place up here to hook it up properly too. I think I might have better luck looking for some fresh Mangosteens...

 

<shrug> I went to college down there for 2 years and nothing compared to the places back home.

 

For the most part, I'd agree that the majority of the Taquerias in SD and LA aren't as good as the average out here. But there are a few out there that are exceptional.

 

it's a burger joint. it's also been on diners, drive inns, and dives.

 

A Thai place to never eat at: Blue Mango... any of them...

 

A similar but better alternative to Little Lucas is Bonne Sante on broadway in Burlingame. They make huge sandwiches with all sorts of yummy combinations and it's only $7-8 for a great sandwich.

 

Taqueria San Bruno on San Mateo Avenue (behind Tanforan shopping center) right next to Limitless Motorsports.

I had a burrito there, and it was ****ing good!
