EuroSunday is partnering with Shriners Hospital for the rally.

Date: 12 December 2010 (Mark your calendars and save the date)

Location: Shriners Hospital. We’ll be inside and cars (for the show-n-shine) will have access to the covered garage .. so we’ll be good even if the weather’s not cooperative.

Updated info from EuroSunday

You and your club/group are invited to participate in the “Rally4Kids” Toy Drive to benefit the Sacramento Shriners Hospital for Children on Sunday December 12th 2010. The event is taking place at the Shriners Hospital on Stockton Blvd and “X” Street in Sacramento from 9am to 1pm RAIN or SHINE (we will utilize their auditorium and fantastic lobby if it is raining).

As this is a “Rally” we encourage you each to meet with your car club and caravan to the Shriners Hospital to arrive at a time you pre-schedule with me, so we can feature your club. Each car will drive up to the winners circle when they arrive at the “Finish Line” where kids will receive the toys while a photo is taken of each donor, their car, and the kids receiving the toys, all while a DJ does the announcing. A local printer will be on site printing the photos for participants to take home and they will also be available on our website after the event. If it is raining, we will hold the event indoors and take photos of the “drivers” as they drop off their toys.

See attached flyer for more details. (Photos of last year’s event included)
http://www.thezenthusiast.com/images...2010_flyer.pdf

Event sponsorships are also available with 100% of the fee going directly to the Shriners Hospital for Children.

I'll through this out for thought as well.

Team-Driven (TD) of Sacramento is going to participate. TD is a small Datsun/Nissan/Infiniti group .. that participated in the Rally4Kids last year. If anyone wants to join their "caravan" .. post up and I'll get your names added to that list. You'll have to provide me (PM is ok) with a way for their POC to contact you regarding the caravan meeting and time details.

I just got back from the Shriner's Hosptial (Stockton Blvd and X Street). The setup is going to be awesome. If the weather's nice, most of the activities will be outside in/around the circular driveway. That area alone will hold approx 35 cars .. as shown in the flyer, ther will be a DJ, and raffles throughout the day. I've been told there will some real nice raffle prizes.

I got a pre-look at the car groups already signed up... Corvettes, MOPARS and the British Sports Car Club are among the 1st to commit.

Come on out .. even if you don't want to bring your "show car" .. bring your DD, drop off a toy ... stay for coffee (Starbucks donation) and take a tour of the hospital. It's an awesome place.

If the weather's bad .. there will be access to covered parking and we'll have a way to drop off your toy under a covered area.

If any locals are interested.
Team-Driven (Datsun/Nissan/Infiniti) group has an arrival time of 10AM for the toy drop-off.
They are staging (for their caravan) at the Jack-In-The-Box (4601 Broadway) .. it's just down the street from the hospital between 915A-930A.

Rally4Kids – 12 Dec 2010

Shriner’s Hospital is located at 2425 Stockton Blvd.
Some helpful hints ..

1) The “best way” to enter the hospital is via the south. That is you want to approach the hospital via Stockon Blvd (south to north). This way you’ll be making a “right turn” onto “X St” (where the hospital entrance is located). This also avoids the need to cross Stockton Blvd traffic.

2) There will be 2 lanes set up for toy-drop-offs.

Lane #1 (closest to curb) is for those wishing to drop off toys at the “Finish Line” (where you and your vehicle will be photographed). You will probably see a line up of cars down Stockton Blvd in Land #1 waiting to drop off their toys!

Land #2 is for those who want to drop off toys but do not want to cross the “Finish Line”.

3) There will be EuroSunday volunteers on-site, directing traffic for both toy drop off lanes and to parking.

Weather’s going to be great (no rain)! Fun times (raffles, music, festive atmosphere with good people)
Hope to see you there!
