Do you work on your own ride or take to shop(s) for servicing?
Luckily since the dot com boom crashed, the cost of living is somewhat more tolerable. Since you last were living here, prices have been brought down some (not enough thought).
Damn good questions..I totally forgot the 'Effn Vehicle Codes there.
Well I'm not too low to where my Headlights are below 24"
I've got and Intake & HKS Copy for exhaust so I don't think I'm loud
enough for the DB Noise regulations.
Servicing I've done on my own except for stuff I needed a shop for but
then again I've just hit over 60K which means I need to go to a shop soon
to get Maintenance

You will not find any 2 bedroom apts with garage for that price anywhere on the peninsula so you would be better off in San Jose or East Bay. There are several houses for rent in Union City area with 2-3 bedrooms with 2 car garage for $1800.

There are places in South San Francisco which are 2 bedroom 1 bath with a garage for 1300-1500. I live in one of them.

Sounds like you would be a good candidate for Fremont, Union City (some areas are ghetto), Milpitas, Sunnyvale or San Jose. All areas have decent pricing ($1300-1800) for what you are looking for. I usually go for private owned Condos/TownHomes or Houses. Apartment buildings are worse than HOA when it comes to a simple oil change.

Post up things you find and Im sure we can give feedback on area & stuff.

Good Luck

Check out palm valley san jose. They are on the south side of SJ by the Kaiser. I had to move ASAP and the place I wanted... With a garage wasn't available at the moment. Of course the condo became available AFTER I signed my lease in Sunnyvale. but I looked at their multiple floorplans and at least 3 of them have garages and they are under 2k a month.

My car isn't that low, I'm just dropped on G35 H-Techs with Springmount Mod
Mod so far is just the Stillen Intake with X02 Exhaust
I've servicec my car as far as Fluid Changes and Brakes.
I'm at 68K and soo will be taking the car in for 60K Maintenance.
I'm looking into either Campbell area or Sunnyvale for a place.
