Need Help Apartment Search Bay Area

Hey Guys,

It's been almost 10years since my job moved me out of San Jose California.
I've lived all over the Bay Area before moving but I'm in the process of trying to relocate back to the Bay.

I did the Internet search thing but it does not really tell you much about the area unless asking people who has lived there.

Do you guys know any place or recommend an Apartment in the Bay Area that is having some good deals or atleast resonably priced CaLi standards wise.

Looking for a 2 bedroom apartment with a Garage to store my G. Anywhere in the bay to me does not matter coz I'm used to commuting any location of the job.

Any inputs are welcomed.
Thanks!

u have to at least state what price range is considered reasonable for u for 2 bedrooms. trust me, i live in the apartments and ive seen all types from $1100 to $3000+ for 2 bedrooms.

Most apartments that have garage and 2 bedrooms that I've seen is in the $1700-$1900 range...

if garage is not a necessity u can find MOST 2 bedroom apartments for around $1500..

btw i am referring to san jose, what is ur budget? maybe i can point u to the right direction.

I take it this must be outside the San Jose Area. I was paying $1800 at Redwood Apartments in San Jose next to SJSU for a 1 bedroom with no Garage 10yrs ago . So I guess let's just say between $1500-$1800 with a garage. You all know how it is to have a nice ride living in any Big City, you just don't park it outside a house and more specially in an Apartment complex if you don't want anything to happen to it. So any complex within an hour commute to San Jose I can do.

Thank's again for that input.

honestly, you have to give us some kind of idea of what area you want to live in. there's a wide variance in rents & amenities here. also, fwiw, average rents up here have not gotten back to where they were 10 years ago (top of the mkt before the tech bust).

I found that using MLS to search rentals in addition to craigslist helped out quite a bit.

Well anything within no more than 1 hour to San Jose.
Hopefully something with a garage.
No more than $1800 for a 2 bedroom.
I love to live in San Jose again but I doubt I can find a 2 bedroom Apt with a garage.

Yah man. I just don't want through the headache and the rising cost of Insurance just because the G got vandalized being parked outside.

Sweet man. The more sources I can go with the easier for me to determine where I can relocate to.

Glad to have helped, man. Only reason I'm at this place in Union City is because BART is across the street.

Yah I left right about the time they were extending BART to Union City.
I've used BART a few times when I use to visit my sister a lot in Daily City

OP, here are some more questions that may help us help you...

How low is your car?

How modded is your emissions system?

Do you work on your own ride or take to shop(s) for servicing?

Luckily since the dot com boom crashed, the cost of living is somewhat more tolerable. Since you last were living here, prices have been brought down some (not enough thought).
