The reason I'm moving from summer performance tires to all-seasons is because it does rain here, and I do not like hydroplaning. Some of that is due to me wearing my tires down too much, but even brand new ones do not perform as well in the wet as dedicated all-season tires do.

I drive my RS3s in the rain which are 140 tread wear tires, I've even driven on my DRs in the rain (which sucked) so you should be fine
