ticket for not having a front license plate

another one of these threads.

got one while i was eating pho on irving at about 2:30pm. it was a DPT officer on foot checking all the fronts of the cars parked on the street. i saw him giving a ticket to a black 330 and then i looked at the meter and it was still green. my friends noticed that he didnt have a front license plate, so i got scared and ran to my car, but it was too late. damnit, gotta goto bryant street now and get it signed off or something huh? gonna refer to accordfreaks thread for what to do lol.
just careful to those w/o front plates still. i installed mines 2day after it happened.

Those meter maid bastards got me a bunch of times on/around Irving in the last few years (I live on 18th Ave)....they seem to be a bit more money hungry nowadays.

My opinion, the G doesn't look as good with the front plates on....they also putt holes in your bumper and scratch the paint in the front. The main reason why you do get tickets for no plates are traffic cameras also...they tend to aim for your front plate and you. They are also one other flat extremely-reflective surface for speed laser to be reflected off.
So for a $10 ticket versus the above......no plates......
I ocassionaly don't even put on my plates on my bike either...$10 also! As well for asthetic and functional uses

In Minnesota we don't get fix it tickets... we get real tickets. No sign off. I paid $118 for this on my truck. Actually got pulled over for the plate violation. He didn't write me up for the limo tinit though so...

I thought the Bumper comes with a snap in place cap where the license plate goes. I also thought somewhere on the forum they were selling license plate holders so you don't have to drill holes.

Mine came with the clip/cap in the bumper cover and all I would have to do is remove the cap and put the plate on .

You can get plate holders that won't scratch the bumper....but like I said...asthetic and "functional" reasons....as far as getting pulled over in CA for those.....a cop will find a reason top pull you over if he wants to. I remember getting pulled over back in High School for speeding, loud music, blue lighting, plates...all kinds of excuses but usually got of the serious offenses by getting a fix it ticket for something minor....I guess I was just lucky like that.

You may want to check out this post also......read about the no plate violations and how they got many people out of more serious tickets.
