Car stereo shop recommendation close to cupertino
Can anyone recommend a good car stereo shop to do a Double Din install (Avic -D1 including AC controls resoldering) close to cupertino?
I wanted to give sound innovations a try but I just don't have the time during weekdays and they're closed during weekends

AMS on Steven's creek deals with high end audio equipment. ie, arc audio, eclipse, etc., etc., they're also an authorized Pioneer dealer.
So basically, if you're going to sell high end audio equipment, you better damn well know how to install ****

okay went to AMS and paid $210 for installation only, they're gonna do it on thursday noon, i hope the won't screw up. g-owners.com is down so can anyone send me pics & explanation of the A/C dual climate button soldering? The stereo guy said that they'd charge me $70 labor if the replacing of the dua climate button took them more than 30 mins >.>. Obviously, I don't want that to happen

One of the guys at Kartoyz used to have a G, so they pretty much know the car inside and out... they do all the stereo and alarm in all of my cars now... I even got my G tinted there while I was waiting to get my alarm installed...
These guys deal with high end cars, so they better damn well know how to do the installs

Tried AMS last weekend. All I wanted to do was to add an amp and two front speakers. They came-up with a bill for ~$2500 with a ton of stuff I don't need like Cleansweep, Audio control LC6, 6-channel amp in case I decide to upgrade the rest of the speakers later, and tried to push the $1000 Morel components on on! I am sure they're good, but boy, just because I have a G35 doesn't mean I'm made of money!!! I'll try KarToyz this weekend.

Well bad news, they refused to replace the DCC button.
They said that I had agreed to let them do what they can to complete the installation and also that I was backstabbing them asking them to replace the broken button after I had agreed to let them work on it. I'm pretty new to the states and is that how things work here? That's certainly no way to talk to a customer. It was insulting.
They're supposedly professionals and yet they still couldn't figure out how to remove the button without breaking it, while i figured it out in less than 2 minutes myself examining the a/c panel. All I did was remove the 6 screws holding the front and back plates together and take the panel apart. Also, they should have called me(I was just across the street grabbing lunch) and asked for my consent before breaking the button off? When I got back the stereo guy told me they had no choice but to break off the button because its attached(they used the word glued) to the a/c panel.
I'm never buying anything from them again.

Yeah, you agree to let them do whatever they can to installing them, but that doesnt means that they can break thing not being accountable for it, they still have to take care for your car, are the DCC working now? if not, they didnt install it right as promised, they should either fix it or give your money back.
here is a linke to file a complaint, if its not resolved? they have power to shut them down!.... http://www.bear.ca.gov/
