Is it safe to travel through Sacramento?

We have a trip planned to Tahoe from Central California. Is the weather safe to travel through in Sacramento on the 2nd?

I don't see it as a problem.. no major flooding here in Sac and all major highways are open as far as i know.. you might expect delays tho .. they might shut down roads to tahoe if storm gets worse

It is EXTREMELY windy today, but I don't see that as being a problem.

I just got back to Sac driving in from the Bay area. It's UGLY! The rain and wind made it really hard to see. We were in my wife's Envoy though so we were still actually able to drive at least 65mph. Smaller cars were only going about 45-50mph. Once you get to the causway (sp) you can really feel the wind push you over. BE CAREFUL!

haha, I am a laker fan! And Kevin Martin lives right down the street! I talked to him the other night teasing him. I said, "hey they actually let to you play this time" he laughed and said something I couldn't understand. I just gave him a peace sign and he threw one back and I walked home.

I just got back in Sac from Fresno. The weather in Sac was very windy and wet on yesterday but it looks a bit better, not much windy. Please do no park your car anywhere nearby pine trees or any trees; I saw a lot of broken branches all over. Have fun in Tahoe! Check the ski resorts information in Tahoe before get there!

I just left Sac this morning. The weather is much MUCH better than the last few days. Cloudy, but no rain when I left. The roads are drying up, but there is still a lot of debris. I completely agree with Sac2904 on not parking nearby trees. I saw tons of HUGE trees topple over. A man in Vacaville got killed by a falling tree branch as well. Be careful. This weather blows.
