Thanks for the suggestion, Ajay. James is the one whom helped me with my HKS. The process of considering new wheels may have taken a new turn, now. A couple of weeks ago, I ran into a large pot hole on Montgomery Street here in downtown S.F. That incident really messed up my 2 passenger side rims. Man, the outer egdes of both lips got gouged pretty good . . . It's ugly looking. From what I understand, these are my options . . . 1) I need to take my wheels off of the car and have them repaired. That would present itself to be a big inconvenience. 2) Buy 2 new OEM 19" wheels at a cost of some $900 per wheel. 3) Buy new VOLKS!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmm . . . Choices, nothing but choices.

Looked like fun. =)

I will definitely make it to the next meet!

Andy,

I got both sets of my Challenges from F1-Motorsports in LA. I got killer deals on both sets... ask for Chris. They are in the vendor section.

Thanks, Chris. It seems that Chris at F1 is recommended by many members. I just need to decide on which Volk and color I want. I didn't think it was going to be this difficult deciding, assuming that I go ahead and get new wheels. Although, at the moment, I am pretty much on the other side of the fence . . . The Dark Side. No more new stuff, I keep telling myself.

Oh, btw . . . Chris, you'd better make it out to the next meet, I need to see your ride. Then again, you probably should stay home.

Mercury Silver would match up perfectly with your clean BS coupe. I think any other color might be too aggressive for someone your age - unless you decide to go for that drop.

Yes, Boris . . . The color will be Mercury Silver! Leaning more towards the Winnings over the Challenges and GT-C, now. Hey, is that due to my age? No, no drop for me. I already am dealing with too many driveway issues locally. Since, I don't plan on a drop . . . I am thinking about how agressive or not to go with the offsets.

Andy, I'll give you a nice deal on my GT-Cs...that is, when I work my way up to some HREs . Thanks for snapping some pics of my wheels, sorry I couldn't clean them up before the meet.

Brian,

Thanks for the offer. However, I just finally decided to go with Volk SF Winnings in 19x9.5" +19 front and 19x10.5" +29 back. Now, I am trying to figure out whether to go with the 245/275 or 255/285 tire combo. After seeing your GT-C's, I threw it into the mix along with the Challenges. It was a tough decision.

Just my two cents, but I think a 235 tire on a 9.5" wide wheel would be way too narrow.

Good catch, Eloy. I meant 245.

Andy, definitely go for the 255/285 combo. Every little bit of tire will help you in decreasing the wheel gap.

Still too narrow. I have a 275 tire on a 9.5" rim. 245 fits on an 8.5" rim.

Thanks, Boris . . . That's option #2. I think that look great. The 275 on the 10.5 looks a little stretched.

I have the 245 on my 9.5 fronts and 275 on my 10.5 rears. I REALLY REALLY wanted 255 and 285 but Chris @ F1 kept telling me that would not be good for my setup and he is the man when it comes to wheels and tires so I took his advice.

It DOES look stretched. It really took some getting used to. The main thing that concerns me is the NON-existent lip protection... My lips actually look like they will scrape the ground. Looks cool but not very practical for a daily driver. Makes my butt clench everytime I see potholes or rough roads. LOL.
