Local shop recommendations

Hey everyone, I just ordered some Stillen Sways - know of any good (cheap) shops that you trust to do the install? I live in Palo Alto, so anywhere close by would be appreciated

Kurzo,

Down in your area, I would suggest calling Rob at Z Car Garage. From what I understand they are do some good work and are quick. The Sway bar install goes pretty quick with a lift. It should take less than an hour. I installed my Stillen sway bars and HKS exhaust in under 90 minutes. I was planning on having Rob do my install, but I lucked out and got use of a lift. Enjoy your new sway bars.

Wrenching on an M3!? Hehehe . . . I have never worked on any of my bimmers. Parts/mods were way too exspensive. Shane, send me a PM and let me know what kind of kind of tools and socket sizes are required. I am on an 8am flight to L.A. tomorrow. I'll be back Sunday night. We'll figure something out, okay?

I just installed mine by myself in the garage. It wasn't any big deal. Removing all of the screws from the front under-panelling was annoying though. Took maybe 90 minutes. And I'm probably considered "older" by many on this forum.

Haha, 150. I could do it myself but I don't wanna have to go get a big torque wrench and jack stands... if the install is a decent price then it'd be better to have someone else do it.

Z car garage seems to be a busy place... any other local shops?

okay, now i got a full exhaust to install from headers, test pipes, and catback. sway bars i did myself, it was easy. the headers will be a different story.. these are the alphawerks headers, so no engine lift needed.

so far, its Z-car garage, but I was a little pissed that rob said he'd call me back and I never heard from him again. Pretty unprofessional...

If you can get use of a lift it would be much easier. Did my sways and exhaust in under 2 hours. Hehehe . . . I may need to beg for that lift again for new springs and shocks. If not, I'll just pay to get it done.

Can't you just install it yourself? If not, you can come over to my house and I'll help you. Muffler and mid-pipe are EASY installs.

I need headers done

I got a quote from Rob @ Z-car for 384.50 to do headers, and Yarnell's Toyota/Datsun in Mt View for ~3hrs@90/hr
