Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland

Anyone else make it to see the Champ Cars run last weekend? I was there on call, and had time to take some pics. Here's one, and I posted a few more over in Picture Share: Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland -- Full Access

The Champ Car series has two physicians who travel with the racing teams and cover the events, but they like to have some local docs around who know the area trauma center(s) in case someone needs to be transported away from the track. One of my partners has been doing this for years and gets together a group of local MDs (myself included) to provide that coverage for the race weekend. Practically speaking, the Champ Car docs handle just about everything since they already know the drivers and race teams, so most years there's not much to do except be there just in case, and that held true this year.
