I noticed a lot of you locals run w/o a front plate. I am also since I don't want to drill bumper! Was thinking of the Stillen tow hook mount. You guys getting pulled over/getting tickets? Whats up.

 

No tickets yet. Been without a front license plate on my G for about a month.

However, I drove around 1-2 years in my Accord without a front license plate and never got a ticket or let alone a warning.

 

I don't think the cops care unljess they have another reason to pull you over

 

It depends on the A-hole. I got a fix it ticket, I was doing the speed limit. The state trooper wipped it around and came up on me like I was a bank robber. Got the stillen tow hook plate holder and it was dropped. I'd like to take it off again, but the wife won't let me. At least I got away with it for 2 years. My friend got a $210 dollar plate ticket in his Z3, no warning or fix it ticket. I would risk it and hope for the best.

 

I've had a cops tell me to put it on as they passed - told me it was illegal.. but i've never had an issues with it. Even when I was pulled over for neg2 (stupid situation)... nothing. I've had it off for almost 2 years

 

I got a $97 ticket here in Oregon.... So lame.

Got my G coupe early 2004, no front plate. Got pulled over once in Auburn. Got off with a warning to get it fixed. That was over a year ago. No problems since.

 

I took mine off... after I bought it unfortunately so i have 2 fat holes in the front, not too noticable luckily. Never had any problems. just jinxed myself i bet.

 

This summer I drove up and down the tacoma waterfront out in ruston just about everyday, that place is swarming with cops and i did not get pulled over once. I don't think they care really' imo

 

just don't roll down Alki on a nice day at the end of the month. Otherwise you guys should be fine.
