pdx clear bra

So i searched the forum extensively...and I am trying to pick a clear bra shop for my cars. I am trying to get a good deal, but more importantly i want the BEST job possible. I am not too worried about the price, because I kno i am going to get a good deal since im clear bra'ing all three of my cars. Has anyone used clear bra of oregon? i was at the autoshow here in portland today, and they quoted me around like 650 for my x5, 600ish for my G and 650 or so for my range rover sport....they use ventureshield which i hear is great...but if anyone has recently used them please post on this thread with how they did on your car! thanks in advance!!

Hey bro, nice to see that you are on G35driver.com!!!!! I was the one that quoted you on the clear bra from Ultimate Window Tinting! We do headlight and taillight tints too, did them on my G, (saw it in your sig)

Hope to be doing some work on your rigs for ya!

I am a Clearmask installer in Southern California. You are getting a pretty good quote on those vehicles. Its not always about taking a lower price. Check out some of their other work and see how good the installation quality is. There are a lot of people doing poor installs out there, so dont focus on the price. If you want a good install then your going to have to pay for it.

By the way, Venture Shield is a 3M film that they buy in bulk and then they cut it themselves... and add their name to it.

venture shield is definately not the same material as 3M.

we had the chance to play with venture shield that was givin to us by a venture shield rep.

its COMPLETELY differant material.

3M has its own clear coat that can be waxed and maintained like normal paint. venture shield is a little cheaper material and doesnt have the same clear coat as 3M. only downside is 3M has a little more orange peel to it so it will match factory paintjobs orange peel. venture shield doesnt have as much orange peel.

what do you mean orange peel? also i think he might be saying its not necessarily the same material, but 3m could possibly be the parent company to venture shield, and venture shield is just its own division. I am not sure, just putting it out there.

Do the clear bra's mess up the paint when you peel them off later?

No it wont mess up the paint. And yes 3M owns VentureShield... so call it what you want.

It's when the material or clear coat has a pattern that looks like an orange peel.
