deep dish 18's are not VIP, go with at least 19". It would also be helpful to know if you have a coupe or sedan

welcome Mandi,

haha, "baller on a budget"... while funny, you should really consider holding out on picking up wheels for now. first of all, you said you only had a week... in my mind, trying to rush ANY expensive purchase is usually going to leave you regretting it in the end.

Take the time, figure out exactly what makes sense for your friend, and Im sure he won't mind that the gift is belated. Also, does he really only want 18s?? If you are already going to make a big investment in new wheels, you might as well hold out a little longer to do it right, or at least try to get a bit of money from another friend and just go all out.

good to hear that you've been taking your time.

i think people were asking what your budget is so that they could help steer you in the direction of what you should be looking for/what you can get with that budget... i don't think anyone is 'holding out on showing you their wheels'... haha

Guys, Mandi finally PM'ed me and said she's only looking to spend $800-$1000. Nothing wrong with having a budget, but let's be realistic here. What aftermarket wheels/tires can be had for that price? You can't even get used Axis/Sevas/Sportmaxx for that price. Maybe used 18" Rota/ADR/TSW, that's about it...lol.

D5R's will look good, as long as the fitments are good. I had a set on my G back in the day. There was a local Q slammed on gunmetal D5R's, and it looked pretty sweet.
