Is there anyway I could go back to Dealer Xpress in Auburn and get a refund? Technically since I paid cash they could just refuse and theres probably nothing I can really do about it legally?

Has anyone had any experiences like this with shops? Thanks in advance.

Here is a slightly better pic of how they look in real life. I'll take some real ones when the weather clears up.

Thanks for the support!

I talked to the person i work with at the shop and you didnt tell the whole
story....

You brought your own tint in to do it, which didnt stretch correctly, they said they would redo it but would rather use theirs, they had the better tint coming in for this type of application. you wouldnt work with them, so they said fu*k it not worth their time.

I can't believe even the people you work with lie to you!

First off, I don't even have a wife. Second I never got my tint done at their shop. My tint was done at Accutint.

Did you talk to Mino? He is the one that refused to redo his sh*tty work or at least refund me my money.

I originally bought Bats Overlay. I took it to their shop to ask if they can install it. He told me he couldn't do it because the material did not stretch and insisted on using his own shop materials which was thicker and can stretch over the taillights on the G37. So I agreed (reluctantly) because I had already spent money on Bats overlays and used their material. As you can see from the first set of pictures it turned out like sh*t.

I asked them to redo it or refund me my money however they refused.

Here is the thread of me reselling my brand new unused bats overlays (after I got mine fixed at Accutint) since they refused to use it to begin with to prove my point:

http://myg37.com/forums/exterior-fs/...-overlays.html

I had to go to Accutint and repay them to redo it (cheaper than Dealer Xpress) with their materials and it turned out perfect like its suppose to be. Just proves the difference in quality between the two shops.

Hopefully no one else goes to Dealer Xpress and wastes their money for poor service and quality. I feel sorry for anyone that runs their business this way to have to lie to their own employees to cover up for themselves.

i dont work there, manual labor ftl. i said the guy i work with as in the kid who has tinted 4 of my cars, thats what i meant.

from my understanding, you and a girl brought both cars in and got your windows tinted as well as your tails. judging by the pics the tail lights sucked. but that isnt the shops specialty. i think the white guy with the sport bike does awesome work and would trust him to tint any cars i get, now mino i have no idea who that is and why he wouldnt refund you 100bucks or whatever it was.

Ahh I see, no I came in alone. If it wasn't the shops speciality they should have told me that before they took my money and started working on it like pretending like they've done it before.

Mino is the owner of the shop. He and another asian guy worked on my car I didn't see a white guy there.

They may be thinking about me bringing in my car & wife's car, and they did install Bat's overlays on my taillights, I never asked them to redo it even though they did do a crappy job, my complaint is more in the fact that there are air bubbles. I never complained to them or anyone about the quality, but now they are saying that they did a crappy job and offered to re-do it with their own material? That never happened. The tint job was fine on both our cars, the tail light overlay install was poor.

You need to report them to the BBB, if they are a member they will be forced to deal w/ you. I reported a shop because on one of my previous cars they didn't put the radiator cap on right and I ran the engine out of coolant. The BBB assigned a case worker and mediated a settlement for me.
