Question Complain to shop (Dealer Xpress) about this work?

I decided to put some overlays on my taillights. Initially I ordered Bats overlays, but after going to both Accutint and Dealer Xpress in Auburn, they told me his overlays were cheap quality and they were REALLY reluctant to do the work unless they used their higher quality material.

So I had Dealer Xpress do the work. Now I've never had overlays on my car, but is it really hard to cut it to match because take a look for yourself I don't think they did a very good job. Should I complain or is this basically the best I'm gonna be able to get.

The guy at dealer Xpress said it was hard to get an exact cut and cover the edges? What do you guys think:

ohh i see it now...that sucks...theres a pretty big line around the edges, shouldnt the have made them to that they fold underneath? i.e. using a card of some sort?

They don't need to be able to get a perfect cut. A good shop would have wrapped the vinyl over all the edges of the tail light

Or just trim it as needed, during install.

i think they are just inexperienced with taillight overlays because im pretty sure it was the same guy and the same place that did my tint and it turned out fine.

Screw having them redo it, just have the money refunded and go some where else. Call the BBB

I went to a different shop, Accutint in Bellevue. Not only did they charge me LESS than the other shop and used their own materials, they did a perfect job. A+ customer service

Night and day difference compared to the previous pictures.

The entire tails were covered and looked very professionally done. Couldn't be happier! Pictures don't do it justice.

Mino, the owner that did that install at Dealer Xpress in Auburn said he has been in the business for 16 years and told me that was the best anyone could do for the G37 tails.

What I'm most upset about with them is their refusal to give me a refund knowing they did a ****-poor quality job.

I think these pictures by the work done at Accutint speaks for itself:
