My rear is a bigger drop than the front even with my OEMs. If I ran 285/30-R I would most likely have to run 285/35-F to even it out, 35 is too much rubber for my personal likings to each their own. Will it be a harsher ride? Most likely, but that is the price you pay sometimes for the appearance.

Hard to believe what I'm reading. You don't use tire sizes to adjust your ride height. The way to do it would be to change your springs or whatever you're running. This isn't a case of "the price you pay" either, it's a case of doing things the wrong way, whether out of laziness or cheapness. Doesn't really matter which since the end result is the same.

I agree those rims are beautiful !! But you really have to look at overall performance when you get to 20" and above. That car will be the sweetest lookin thing on the road, no doubt, but be careful. Sometimes you have to look beyond. Question...... Did you have to get larger brakes put on to accomodate?

LOL wtf are you talking dude seriously learn to read carefully first instead of jumping to conclusions making up your own ****?

And cheapness? The tires are essentially the same price. Laziness? What does lazyiness have anything to do with this.

I never said I am using tire sizes to adjust my ride height. I stated my H&R springs give a bigger drop in the rear than in the front which is one possible reason why the PG G37 rolling on vossens in the pictures I posted could be lower in the rear instead of assuming its because of different tires sizes he is running.

Thanks! Nope I'm still using the stock g37s 4 piston brakes. I actually have to run 3mm spacers in the rear to clear the brakes.

4.1% is too far off. Period. That shop doesn't know what it is doing. The g37 uses the same stock tire size in the rear as the g35 coupe with 19's, so the 20" tire size would be the exact same. 275/30/20 or 285/30/20. Anything beyond 3% different from stock is too far, no good tire shop would recommend that. At 60mph, your speedometer will be off by 2.5mph, and will only get worse with increasing speed.

This debate isn't about ride quality or looks. It's about being having the tires in spec for the wheel specs/speedo/odo/vdc and handling in general. It's not opinion, it's fact...just arithmetic.

275/30-20 or 285/30-20 are the only two recommended sizes I've heard of.
