Driving School

A local driving club, Team Continental, puts on a performance driving school throughout the year. I've had some friends who have attended and they say it's awesome. It works like this: the night before the class, you have a "chalk talk" where they discuss driving dynamics, traction, etc. Then the next morning, you go to PIR and spend a few hours with a very experienced driver on the track. After that, they turn you loose on the track alone. I've heard its an amazing experience and will definitely turn you into a better driver.

I've already sent my check in for the July 30 class. If you're interested, sign up here: http://www265.pair.com/tcscca/TC/tcdrvtng.htm
or visit Team Continental's site: http://www.teamcontinental.com/

Hope to see some other G35s there!

Re: Driving School

I'm sure you guys will have a blast. I took the Cascade Sports Car Club course in March and thought it was great. I've heard good things about Team Continental as well. Check out my other post for the writeup I finally got around to doing about my experience.

Re: Driving School

I didn't even have to OK the vacation day - instead, I just invited my boss along. We're calling it a "Team Building Activity." I'll be we can figure out a way to make the company pay for it too!

Re: Driving School

you're a lucky sumb*tch, bill. :-)

I've gotten 8 vacation days in over 25 months now. They're hard to come by where I work. This'll be worth it though. I'm gonna put your torque wrench in my trunk a week before so I don't forget it again.

Re: Driving School

Have you guys received any details yet? They debited my account but I haven't received anything e-mail or snail mail.

Oh yea, thanks for reminding me to tell work I'll be gone.

Re: Driving School

Yeah! This is going to be great. My boss has taken this class a few times before. He says it's pretty incredible. Last year, one of the attendees showed up on track day with a Viper on a trailer (not street legal!). There are going to be some hot cars there to be sure.
