What did you do to your car today....

Intec Racing installed a TransGo shift kit in my 5AT G coupe last week, and I wanted to wait for a week of vigorous driving to report back: I've been chirping from 1st to 2nd, and from 2nd to 3rd, at WOT. The back end also wants to get out from behind me a little (nothing major). The shifts are extraordinarily crisp and immediate - they're not 'violent' as some may believe (note I'm naturally aspirated, so I'm not sure about the 400whp + G's). At low speeds, I don't even notice it's there. It goes through all the gears more readily in automatic, and I've read that it prolongs the life of the transmission (however I found no documentation other than ad/customer statements to backup that supposition). I would have done this the second I bought my G if I knew what an enormous difference it would make. My driving style would be considered 50% mild, 50% aggressive, and in both respects the shift kit's made driving a new experience. Thumbs up to Intec again. There are great articles on driver about it or at my350z. Peaceeeeee

Phoenix what's up good brother! I bought the kit for about $230 from Summit Racing, and essentially you're paying for R&D - not many parts - but the parts and drilling you do make a HUGE difference. The advice that was stressed, and that i've read over and over from consumers on here/my350, from Summit Racing and from TransGo, was to have a knowlegeable shop/transmission shop install it. That being said, I think this kit would be ON POINT for a drifter - my tires are too wide, and too sticky to drift (unless it's a little wet out lol). I'll take you for a ride on Friday if you have a chance, I'll be at intec to get some work done...

You're going to LOVE your new coils... Those made a gigantic difference for me too - AND the LED conversion, like we talked about, is going to make a huge difference... Friday's the day at Intec! I'm stoked for your new mods man, I'm really stoked to see how much you'll love the LED's + coils... Joe will be able to explain the shift kit in a much more technical and expansive manner, and we'll go for a ride so you can see the difference in responsiveness good brother!
