Unfortunately no garage, live in an apartment. I'd prefer to get em installed somewhere around here, but if there really is no good option I may have to drive up to Seattle. You offering to install them? Or did you have a shop in mind?

Not yet. Ended up getting a set of Eibachs instead, so now I'm waiting on my camber kit before I install. Why do you ask? Do you have a recommendation of a good place in Portland?

When I got mine put on I checked around and pretty much all the shops were charging around $200. (Honestly if they know what they're doing its about an hours work...)

I know you can rent a spring compressor from parts stores like Schucks for like $5 if you want to do it yourself, but honestly I get all my work done in Kent and can't really recommend a shop in Portland

Go to PRE, not the cheapest, but they did good work on my Subaru.

How's Speed Concept? Anyone know? They gave me a pretty good quote for springs and camber kit installation.

Twarsop - Is PRE legit? Their quote was a little high, but if they know what they're doin I may go there.

Sigh, I wish I could just install these myself haha.

I bought my G from speed concecpt haha. I just installed springs on my G myself at my workplace. Took about 45-60 minutes. The rear springs literally take about 15-20 minutes. The fronts are a little harder but not so much.

If you're not already loyal to a certain shop, why would you go anywhere besides the cheapest place for a simple spring install? Its not exactly a big project...

Absolutely. They are one of the only shops in the Portland area who have an AWD dyno. I had quite a bit of work done by them including my upgraded FMIC tubro setup on my Subaru, flywheel install, and Bobby (their Dyno tech) Cobb tuned it on their dyno. They are well known in the Subaru community, but they can work on any car, especially if it's simply springs you want installed.

I've never heard good/bad on Speed Concepts. I've heard OF them, but not anything they've done for work. If it's significantly cheaper, I'd just go there. If something happens, regardless of the shop, they are going to have to warranty the work they do.
