Hey guys. Question..need to modify a 350Z CF engine cover.to fit my huge *** plenum. How do work.with CF...cut/grind...what tools required...etc...

No need.to worry about.cracking etc...and repainting should be pretty straight forward.

CF is not too hard to work with, used to build boeing airplane parts from it. Fun stuff to work with. Especially raw material. So much fun.

But you will need a diamond coated blade to make life a lot easier.

Oh nice! So do you have CF layin around for some custom projects!?

+1 on good blades. Dremel is excellent for cutting this up. Then reseal it with clear once you are done.

Here is a video on cutting cf, warning: this guy talks A LOT rofl. I've also read up on taping off the cuts if you can (straight lines) which logically makes sense to reinforce the area of the cf you want to leave intact, so can't hurt even though I've not done that myself.

Cut to about 3:00 on this guy unless you wanna hear a nerd in detail talking about his dog etc
