Okay that is really helpful!
I have been looking around the forum for a couple months now, and I just want to do everything I see! It all seems so unique and creative. I'm hoping I can start very small and keep the bug under control.
Thanks for the welcome! Everyone in the community seems friendly and cool.

I might have to! I spend a majority of my time in St. Johns at university of Portland. I have been looking at a megan racing cat back exhaust, but i hear so many mixed reviews that it makes me indecisive. But then there is mid pipes and y-pipes and headers and mufflers and theres so many options! I think im leaning towards getting a z tube first, keep it simple.
The bug grows so fast because there is so much stuff that goes to these cars that is just plug and play!

I agree with the Z-tube, make sure you get a K&N filter with it tho. Cheap and easy.
And please don't buy anything from Megan racing... cheap steel + weak welds = broken/cracked manifolds, headers, and exhausts. Some may be ok, but I've seen too many that are messed up to recommend them even for the price :/

I heard the borla sounds great but gets kind of droney on the highway. And I really can't be having a drone.
I wish that you could test drive exhausts!
Alright I figured it was kind of cheap, but being a college student I'm not exactly made of money haha.
Yea I was thinking of getting the high flow intake with the z tube from k&n.

if u come up to a meet u can test drive my Sedan with the Borla to see, the drone honestly aint as bad as people say, if ur driving and ur RPM is between 1500-1800 there is a bit of a Drone but thats it, the rest is pure grrrrrrr and at Highway its like stock, kinda quiet at the 2000-2800 band, its when u got above 3k that it comes alive
but a simple cross pipe clears up the low band Drone since Borla is dual straight pipes and a few people have put a X-Pipe in (MagnaFlow) and it almost clears out the Drone etc. im thinking of doing it also.

I think coming to a meet would be cool, looking at all the different options. Maybe have people eye ball my car, remind them where they came from (bone stock) haha.
I don't really know if there are any around here though. I'm fairly new to the car infatuation. I've always observed from a distance but just recently tried to stick my foot in the door.
If anyone you know is trying to take some stuff off their car I'm all for hand me down parts!
