Steering wheel replacement under warranty

Has anyone in Seattle been able to replace their steering wheel because of those damn scratches? I tried getting the kirkland infiniti to replace my steering wheel under warranty but they denied the claim and just said that it was just wear and tear and is normal. BS!!! it is a wide known problem on the forums and across 07-08 G sedans.

I know the fife infiniti is owned by the same people... wondering if its worth the shot... may just try the new kuni infiniti up in lynnwood. Anyone have a hookup at any of the dealerships?

inderpaulk, do you have the same issue?

Have you tried getting it replaced under warranty?

nope, there isnt an actual TSB for it out. But there have been many members that have been successful in having their dealer replace them under warranty. Its kind of a hit or miss.

the 07-08 are known have scratches and peeling on the door pulls and also the steering wheel.

https://g35driver.com/forums/interio...l-peeling.html

there are many more threads on this same issue. the peeling and scratches usually appear near the controls on the steering wheel.

Just got word from kuni that they will be replacing my steering wheel. I talked to gary in the service department and he helped me out. He took a bunch of pics and forwarded it off to his district manager and got it approved to be replaced under warranty.

Right now he is ordering the part and willl schedule me in for the swap!
