Tire Help, looking at the Potenza RE 960AS Pole Position

Anyone familiar? I am running a set of kumho ecstas and the rears are as smooth as a baby's bottom....kinda squirrely!! SO looking to upgrade to a "DECENT" all season without having to spring the extra coin on a set of blizzaks. The dude at firestone recomended these and I am thinking of getting em...total comes to around 1100 but they are supposed to be the best all season that bridgestone makes.

So if any of you's have any experience or are familiar with them, lemme know!

Newb here but I have them. A bit spendy but worth every penny. I even talked him down out the door for $1000. Although I do have 285's in the rear. When it snowed up here in Seattle my G did way better than my honda with cables.

i had the re 960as on my accord. never drove them in snow, but they performed awesome in dry and wet.

i just got new tires for the G today. also went with the continental dws tires. tires seem quiet but still needs to be broken in. i paid 1000 for them installed with warranty on each tire but you can pick them up at discount tires for about 900 or so.

i got 245/45/18s on the sport wheels.

I can tell you as a former Manager of Tire Sales for Firestone that if you are looking to get an All-Season performance tire you cant go wrong with the 960's. Now that being said, snow diriving on a set of 960's is a bit of a challenge.

I run them on my G and it did fine until it came to the downhill portion of the drive home and they went to ****. It wasnt the tires fault but it wasnt helping either, steep hill and grabby brembo's played a factor as well and of course the sheet of ice between the tire and road surface. The 960 grips like its dry when its raining and even better when its not. I havent tracked on them but i do pretty much drive my car like i stole it...all the time.

For what it's worth.

I also have the Continental Extremecontact DWS, highly recommend them, I had the Michelin Pilot sport A/S before, and these are much better all around, and as the other member said cheaper too
