Anybody interested in a local meet on Sunday the 29th after import face off? Thinking about going to see the hangover pt 2... Possibly at cinetopia or wherever

That sounds cool to me, or possibly have a meet at the IFO? LoL park all our cars together and scare all the lil kids in their civics

omfg, was changing spark plugs and snapped a bolt holding the coil on!!!!! Tried using an extractor and just ****ed up the gold ring that the bolt goes into!!! Aghhhhhhh im raging so hard right now >.<

lol wtf??how do you do that!! new valve covers are $350ish each so I hope you can salvage it...

misaligned the threads (think i may have accidently used the bolt for the wiring bracket), then while trying to extract the bolt with the extractor it did nothing but strip away the metal, stripped away enough that the gold bushing that holds it got ****ed up

when you were putting it back in? speaking strictly unprofessionally of course, you can just tighten the fxxxk out of it and make sure that the coil pack is snug, but once you do that a few times it will be completely stripped and you'll have to do something about it lol

yeah it happened as i was puttin the coil back on, would have been easy to get the broken bolt out if it didnt snap flush with the gold bushing

I'm probably in for a Cinetopia showing (only 5 minutes from my house) but not much point in the Import Face Off event for me (still 100% stock).


Sorry to hear that AL, I had one coil pack bolt go back in kind of rough as well, I had no choice but to just tighten it as nothing that I did would allow it to thread smooth. Best of luck on a fix.
