I would like to formally introduce myself, My name is Craig Schweitzer. Originally from Cali but moved up here to Eugene Oregon not to long ago. Recently purchased my G (2003 IP coupe) and decided to join these forums (which I spend wayyyyy to much time on). Im currently a domestic engineer (House husband if you wanna be a dick about it lol ) so my modding is going to be slow but steady, but im really lookin foreward to trying to get my G up to the level of epicness of some of your rides.

As you can see I got a few mods, most were on the car when I got it (which scared the hell out of me, figured I was gonna find my tranny held on with ductape ) Got a Glossy vinyl overlay being shipped hopefully today, so I should get some pics of that up soon.

I see most of everyone is from the seattle area, Any of you down in my neck of the woods? (and I do mean woods holy **** Oregon has lots of trees) Many events held down this way besides the import faceoff in woodburn?

 

Nice ride, there's probably less than 10 regulars on here that are between Vancouver/Portland and where you are in Eugene. seymore4 (Joe) has stated he plans to get some local meets going once the weather improves. He's also a good guy to talk to about mods.

And yah modding bug hit me before I even got the car, Hell thats half the reason I chose the G over everything else. Problem I have gettin the money out of my wifes deathgrip lol, Im in serious need of some rims but i gotta figure out a way to get em for the G and her ride at the same time (her ride) After the rims im thinkin 5/16 plenum, grounding kit, and perhaps a full exhaust. Other then that its just a bunch of fixin lil **** the guy that had the car before me fvcked up/neglected, Already had to change out the clock lights, lights for the heated seats, broken power seat button, passenger window motor, Sirius radio and for the life of me I cant get the swirl marks out of the headlights (im guessing he tried one of those headlight restoration kits and failed)

 

Welcome to the forum, can't say as much for the general forum but us guys in the regional section take care of our own! The G's lookin good, I'd recommend you check your spark plugs and change fluids as soon as possible to ensure a clean start, these cars are great but have a tendency to destroy plugs until you get an Osiris tune, and we all know people like to neglect their maintenience! Especially the dif fluid... SMH

 

Thanks for the welcomes, and yah spark plugs are the next lil maintenance on my list, having trouble deciding iridium or plat. but I think im just gonna go with good ol Platinum.

Yeah i posted in the new members section, but not here so thats where youve seen me :P And as far as the being "handy" goes, Ive always been a car nut (new to the G) however Ive also always been a bit nerdy lol so I learned how to use the "search" function quite quickly, Hope to be able to come to some of the meets/events although im a bit out of the ways of most of u guys
