Relocating to Seattle in June
Hey guys, I am currently in Eugene, OR and will be moving to the Seattle area in June/July.
I have been checking craigslist for housing (rentals or leases).
I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice, what are the nice yet affordable areas to live in?
I am looking for a house with 2 or more bedrooms that is like a 10 minute drive from downtown Seattle.
Can you guys tell me the names of the areas I should be looking in? Capital Hill? Bellevue? Shoreline? Kirkland? Are those places far from downtown? I know Cap Hill is close.
Thanks for any advice or help you guys can offer!

Neither of those are a 10min drive from downtown. Unless you're driving the opposite way a traffic. If you are moving across the bridge from Seattle, dont expect a 10min drive, if you are working normal "business" hours.
If you want quick access to DT, then you're going to want to stay on the West side of the bridge.

Specify "afordable" pm me your budget and I will tell you exactly what you can get. My girlfriend and I are both in the mortgage/real estate profession. Let meknow bro.

Looking for something nice, recently remodeled, must have dishwasher + other mod cons.
Either a very large 1 bedroom or a 2 bedroom, hopefully <10minutes to downtown by car <30minutes by foot
I would like to find something around $1000 but I can afford up to say $1400.
What's the best I can do guys?
Thanks

I guess it depends on your tastes. Eastside is expensive and you will have a bridge to go over. I-90 is by far the easiest to commute over. Capital Hill is expensive and murder to find parking. I'll pray for your car if you have to park on the street. West Seattle might be a good bet. Bridge but it's more affordable.
