Who all does track days???
Well, it's a long story, but I had to miss the BMW club day last week. So, I signed up to do the Team Continental HPDE for tomorrow (May 25) even though it looks like rain. Al, are you still planning on going? Anyone else?

So how was it, Kent?
The BMW club is going out again on 8/8. I think I'll try and make that one. My car should be broken in completely and I'll have some new wheels and tires to try out (although I might just use the stockers and save the ps2's.)

Yep, I had a good time yesterday. The track was dry for 3 of the 4 sessions, and the one session in the wet was definitely a useful learning experience.
I ran in group 2 (of 4), and think I represented myself pretty well in a group with some nice cars including a John Cooper Works Mini Cooper S, a Dinan M3 and a Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. But the highlight was running down and passing a brand-new Ford GT. Ok, so he was being REALLY, REALLY conservative, but it was still a blast watching that beautiful beast getting closer with every lap.
I'll try add a bit more in the next couple of days -- I'm on call at work today and getting my butt kicked. This is the first break I've had since 7:00 this am, and now I've got to try to get some sleep before I get called again.
BTW Al, since I had already registered and paid for the BMW day, I've asked them to move my application to the 8/8 school. It would be nice to actually coordinate something this time.
