Not 100% convinced I want to sell but I've had this camcorder for less than year, paid well over $1000 for it, best I'v ever had. I only used it for a few home videos of my son, and some of you remember I filmed last year's Function Tuned meet with it. Original packaging, manuals and software? Any warranty on it?

 

All of the above except for the warranty which expired this summer. Like I said, I used it a few times adn that's it. Not one scratch and barely no sign of wear and tear.

 

Lack of a warranty is an issue.

I have a stack of tapes that I shot on my old HVR-Z1U, in HDV format. I'm wondering if I can use this camera to digitize the footage?

 

Unless it was shot in a proprietary format, it should be fine.
