I just sold mine for $200 on craigslist.. I wouldn't update it if you don't have to.. it's much easier to unlock 4.0 etc. 4.2.1 (the newest one) is a bitch. You can jailbreak/unlock it and sell for $200

hows the battery on it? have you experienced any glitches? and would this work with t-mobile or cricket?

 

I'm not sure, the battery lasts my mom 2-3days but she barely uses it and she hasn't complained about anything.
You would need to unlock it to use it on cricket or t-mobile
