Hey guys im planing on tinting my windows, hopefuly in the next week or so. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend what percentage to go with or what looks good. Im taking it to a professional who has done all our vehicals and does an awesome job. I was planning on getting both sides and the back done. My car is silver, and i dont wanna go to dark, but not to light..any advice?

i got 35% and i love it!
whats your interior color though is it charcoal or wheat?

if you have wheat id go with say 20-25% since the interior is lighter

 

25% on the rear and rear sides
35% dirver and passenger side
75% on the front

I'm in the market for tinting also.. I posted on this last week.. but more so for recommended shops. Out of curiosity.. with 35% all around.. any one getting hassled by CPD or OHP at all... hell I got hassled just for having TINTED LICENSE PLATE COVERS!!!

I've got an OB sedan with graphite interior... I know 50% is the law in Ohio.. but how is 35% received by Ohio's Finest...?

I'd prefer the car be a "chick magnet".. rather than a "DICK magnet"... easy pray for quota hungry patrolmen.. ya know?

but all kidding aside.. any issues guys..?

 

all my cars are tinted illegal.. i have gotten two tickets in the past two years in Columbus for windows being too dark. One ticket i had my window tinted at 15% and one is at 35%. So its up to you.. chick magnet comes with a price..

Its up to you if you want deal with it or not or care to pay for the ticket. Its about 150.00 per ticket.

Ive had 35% on all my cars for years and never had any problems. Just gotta remeber that if ya get pulled over at night to turn on your dome light cause it lights up the car well and it makes them feel better so they know your not hiding anything.

 

I also have been running 35% all the way around...the interior light works well at night when pulled over. I used to window tint years ago for mister tint, and got out of a lot of tickets by offering to pull the window tint off right there on the spot, then stopping by Autozone on the way home and retinting my front two windows within the hour.

Its all up to you....but 35% is pretty safe. And remember being nice at a traffic stop goes along way (this coming from a guy who was pulled over 20 times before he was 20 years old, and only recieving 1 ticket for speeding...)

I have seen Dal's in person and the front window I didnt even notice at first that it was tinted. The difference in Tint on his ride is barely noticeable ...

35% here no problems...just keep in mind infiniti glass is factory 78% tint so with a 35% tint on top it comes out to actually being around 28% VLT
