Cold start rattling
Hey guys now that its getting cold I have notice a load rattle coming from the motor like a valve train noise. The noise eventually goes away after the motor warms up a bit. I had this problem before in my 240 with the timing chain. Can this be the same issue? Anyone hear this in their car? An issue to bring up with the dealership maybe?
I change the oil just yesterday to see if that would help. It did, but the noise is still noticeable.

Thats right. Ben and I are well known with them and they are making sure they take care of the Ohio G Club when they come in. Brad in service made the statement that he didnt want to **** me or ben off and run the whole club out of there! hahah
They will take care of you regardless...they have people coming from the tristate area just for service because they are that good!

Mine does the very same thing and yes it is timing chain rattle. It is pretty common and normal and tends to get louder after the car is older due to the chain stretching more. Since it uses a piston for tension, when it's cold out the oil doesn't get there as quick to tighten up the chain so it rattles a bit until it does.
