Nope, nothing can change my mind about the car. But nice vid anyways, except for the Gregorian chant.

video didn't show the entire first run, but it looked like the driver of the g35 was sloppy in the corners... the second run the g35 wrecked the genesis in the straights but the genesis kept catching back up in the corners...

nope...might be a solid car, but I'm not buying a Hyundai if I want a sports car/flashy car/weekend driver/track machine

Uhhh...it was a drift competition not a race. G35 was totally pwned no question about it. Anyway, I'm not saying I'm gonna go out and buy one, but Hyundai certainly has come a long way.

Lol it wasn't obvious with all the sliding and the smoke? In real racing sliding your car like that is baaaad....

its about style points, smoke, staying on line if you are solo,
mirroring the lead car if you are following another...

That other H company has come along way!

Thats not even a genesis coupe anymore...Its a full on drift car. The only remains of the original car are the body shell and panels etc... Everything else such as the engine suspension rims interior etc.... have been stripped/swapped out. So no, it wouldnt be logical if someone changed their mind about the production genesis coupe based on the performance of a drift setup vehicle.

The Hyundai Lambda 3.8-liter V6 engine, which comes standard on the Genesis Coupe 3.8, will be stroked to 4.1-liters and further enhanced by a Turbonetics turbocharger. An AEM engine management system will also be used. The engine will be mated to a HKS sequential transmission. The end result is a Genesis Coupe that will produce 550 horsepower and 520 lb.-ft. of torque.
