I didn't, and if Inifiniti didn't that's not my fault The engine is getting replaced under warranty from the dealer.

I'm going to start a new thread to help me decide on the next steps of the build of the car. When I get back from Afghanistan I'm going to go boosted but Im not sure how I want to do the engine. Buy pre-built or start from scratch.

Congrats on the new motor...as for what to do when you get back, research the heck out if on here and My350z for boost (the guys on my350 know a ton more than on here, although there is very good info on driver). Besides, you have the time! hahahaha

One note...avoid Turbonectics all together. I have had so much issue with them, which you can read in our club's threads and the FI section on here.

Dream big...if you are going to do it, do it right from the beginnning so you dont have to take it apart and fix issues!

Good luck with the research and your current new engine install!

I say twins all the way. Its realiable even on stock motor. I boosted mine with 8,000 miles on it and now im at 24k with no issues. So, I say go twins whether your going to build it or not. It's fun!!! =)

I'm thinking of going with a custom twin Holset variable vein turbo set up. Definitely going to be a need for the engine to be built. This is just an idea right now, depends on the fundage after I get home.

On a different note, while they replaced the block they put in a new clutch for me. I got it from KY Clutch down in Bullitt Co. This will be the 4th clutch I had them make for me. Pretty much its a stage1 clutch, with better clamping force and engagement. The best part is, no more rattle when the car is sitting in neutral.
