engine mod questions!!

engine mod questions!!

so i'm sure this is answered somewhere in this forum, but i am too lazy to search, but i was looking at getting a jwt pop charger and z tube,... anyone have that here and recommend that?? or should i just get an intake by k&n or ingen?? also i was looking at getting a 5/16 plenum cuz i heard with the 1/2 plenum you can't have the engine cover on, also i heard that i will need that to be in copper cuz of the cold climates in ohio,.. anyone have that too and like or dislike?? thanks for the help!!

I had a ztube pop charger and 5/16 copper spacer on my sedan when i had it. both great upgrades.

I had the JWT and ztube as well...but only for a while because I changed my set up. I still dont have a spacer but that is the single most valuable item for n/a motors...dyno proven and gives the best bang for the buck in horsepower gains for n/a motors.

A lot of people here on driver, including me, have the Z tube/JWT Pop Charger setup. It's very popular, and the most cost effective, for the aspect of sound. You won't really see much gains if you want the performance aspect of it since Nissan tunes every ounce of hp out of the stock VQ. Dyno tested, the Z tube/stock airbox got the most power fyi.

Like others have already said, MD spacer is the best upgrade for our cars. And yes, the copper isothermal is recommended if you live in colder climates. I have just the isothermal (not as cold a winter as you guys here in TX) and I love it.
