Bumper is ready for base coat and clear tomorrow...stay tuned!

Here is the bumper after 3 coats of basecoat:


and again:


and one more time:


And finally after clear and out in the sun.









What you can not see is that there is one run on the driver side near the corner marker that I will need to fix a few fish eyes...but overall it came out excellent. And, its a HELL of a lot better than what is on the car now. You OGC guys can attest to that...But here is evidence and why I took on the project in the first place...

How close does the paint on the new bumper match the paint already on the car?

After 8 years I would have to say that its probably a little bit darker. But, with this result, my plan to do the rest of the car is pretty much inevitable so I am not really concerned.

nice work! I'm going to show my buddy this thread. He too, likes to do things himself. So far he's painted two of his cars and 1 of his bikes.
can't wait to see the rest.
