Dilemma with my rear shocks!!
I'll probably hit you up closer to spring! Where do you live?!It's only about a mile from QSL which usually ends up being the start point for several of the meets. That works out well for me.
I don't see how they'd need to break the knuckle to get the bolt off. I did shocks on my sedan over the summer and I had them both out and swapped in 30 mins, just PB breaker and a pipe over the rachet got them off easily. Cut the bolt and call it a day.
If you're not in a hurry, soak the nuts down with PB blaster once a week for a few weeks. When spring rolls around, they should come off pretty easily. My sedan was a winter car for 2 years, so the hardware saw a little salt and had a little corrosion on them.
Still, I was able to cut the hardware off my 1990 4Runner (has seen a LOT of mud and salt) without having to resort to breaking off other parts of the suspension. Sounds like these guys are trying to bone you.
