I was at the ace cafe that day as well but sadly the car was in the garage being worked on. A meet sounds cool, try to get as many of us together as possible. Andy and me as well as a few others all went up to the *** performance show last weekend. I think that we were the only two 350gt's there!

I had to go for a cold shower after that!

The North East members of the 350z-uk had a little meet yesterday and I finally discovered the exhaust system I want. Lad there had a custom system using Aero Silencers built by a lad in Lincoln. Sounded amazing and exactly the sound I'm after.

I was talking to a guy at Silverstone the other week who has a japspeed K1 exhaust on his 350Z. With the baffles in it sounds ok and then without the baffles sounds mental! I now have a top sport y pipe and that has helped but know I need to look at the rest. I might just go for upgrade in manifolds and down pipes and see how I get on with them? any suggestions?

Ok I got this reply today
'Good to hear Coops system is still doing the business. When making the system I did make a Jig to allow the system to be duplicated. Now will it fit your 350GT to be honest I have no idea. but if the car shares the same floor pan and the same rear Diff and suspension then I would say it should fit fine. But lets find out for sure before Welder hits metal

Im not 100% happy with Coops system . The crossed section at the rear is a little awkward so a redesign there may be needed.

Price wise £695 for the Dual Cat Back system with X Pipe'

Anyone confirm if the floor pan is the same or not? Or do I need a trip down to see this guy so he can check it out himself?

Update - From reading the forums it appears the Z pipes are about 4 inches shorter. I'll let you know how this progresses

I dont think that the floor plan can be the same as the car is longer and other exhausts need short extension pieces when put on the 350gt.

Hi,

Newbie ?'s here but hopefully a few folk can help. Been looking at 350gt's so I ws wanting to know;

Is there much difference between the 2004 and 2005 model?
I keep reading about Snow Mode, is this selectable? or is it automatic?
The pop-up screen, I've seen this on some and not on other, apart from sat/nav and tv is there any real good use for it?
What is the average MPG folk seem to get?
Does the 350 permanant RWD or does it still feature the skyline front/back power split on corners, etc?
and
Is there anything I should look for when test driving or looking at one?

pepsi..

the snow setting is for the auto cars. I use it in winter and can get to places other people cant! ha ha. I am getting about 26 MPG but that is after being remapped. THe 350 is only permanaent rear wheel drive. there are a few minor differences between the 04 and 05 cars but most parts etc are totally inter changable. I have not got a pop up screen. at the time nobody could get it to work in uk. There are a few threads now on www.skylineowners.com about how us brits can use them, with info suspplied from australia.
they are a great car, always get loads of attention as they are still very rare here. where are you based. if not too far away, might meet up and yopu can go through the car and i can explain stuff to you if need be. Mine is not standard though ha ha

Paul,

Thanks. Is there an on/off button for the Snow Mode?

I think I'll go with a non pop-screen version as I can't seem to see a reason for it. Are other car details, temp, etc. displayed clearly elsewhere?

Is the default sound system okay and do you know if the 2004 or 05 model plays mp3's from CD, I read they could but can't confirm?

pepsi..
